Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that focuses primarily on diagnosing and treating problems with the musculoskeletal system.

Through massage, movement and manipulation, your osteopath will work to rebalance the structure and function of the body; not simply treating the presenting problem, but looking holistically at all the factors that have contributed towards your symptoms.

Treatment will aim to relieve pain, improve function and promote healing. It will also help to reduce the likelihood of the problem recurring. Your osteopath will explain their findings to you, so you can understand why your body has not been healing of its own accord.

Acupuncture is a system of healing which draws on over two thousand years of experience from China and the Far East. It involves inserting very fine needles into certain areas of the body to stimulate the nerves and muscles. These areas are called acupuncture points.

Acupuncture works to rebalance the body’s flow of energy, and the tradition is as much about the maintenance of health as the management of disease. By choosing specific points on the body the acupuncturist can encourage the body’s own healing response.

Foot Health Care

Chiropodists and Foot health practitioners deal with the external workings of the feet. They can remove corns, hard skin, fungal infections affecting the skin and nails, and ingrown toe nails that do not require local aenesthetic.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body.

Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better well-being for their clients.

Pain and illness are signs that something is wrong or out of balance. A naturopath will try to resolve this at the root of the problem, rather than just treating the symptoms. Often people find that some very simple lifestyle changes can make radical differences.
