It was through having a massage and experiencing how amazing, uplifted and free from tension it made her feel that led Piia to train as a massage therapist herself. She has been practising massage therapy since 1998, and trained through the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork (BCMB). Throughout the years Piia has returned to the College for advanced workshops and has recently finished a Diploma 5 Remedial & Sports Massage course.

Her focus is on dealing with the person’s body and mind, where it is at that moment, to provide a treatment that is in tune with their specific needs at that time.

Piia love’s her work and the instant positive response clients give, that deeper breath, or slight shift and change in the muscle tissue, and the smile on their relaxed faces when they leave the treatment room. That inspires Piia to promote healing and positive wellbeing through massage. She continues to discover new techniques and believes in ongoing training in order to deliver high standard, person focused treatments. Her long experience as a massage therapist, and treating common musculoskeletal complaints, enhances her ability to listen to your body and assist it to heal itself.

Hi, I’m Tamsin. I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor with a Master’s degree. I am dedicated to helping individuals understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and build healthier relationships with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. My work blends professional training with a deeply human-centred, kind approach, ensuring that you feel seen, understood, and supported.

I believe that psychological growth doesn’t have to be intimidating or inaccessible. Therapy, for me, is a relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative process—it is not about one person having all the answers. I don’t aim to ‘fix’ or ‘solve’ you; instead, we work together to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore the parts of your life that feel heavy or unresolved.

My approach is built on an authentic, steady presence in the room. This means I am a real, approachable person working alongside you through the messy and uncertain patches of life. I have worked with physical health as a massage therapist since 2018 which means I bring a deep respect for the mind-body connection. Together, we can use this somatic awareness to help support nervous system regulation, translating physical stress and exhaustion into an emotional story we can understand and manage together.

Whether you are exploring therapy for the first time, seeking practical tools, or navigating a major life transition, my goal is to provide warm guidance and clarity tailored to your unique situation, making a real difference in your life.

Who I see: Individuals (adults 18+).

How I work: In-person and online.

Where to find me: Mondays at Bristol Osteopaths Queen Charlotte Street and Tuesday to Friday at my home practice.

Getting Started: Choosing a therapist can feel like an overwhelming hurdle. To keep things low-pressure, I invite all potential clients to a free, 20-minute online, phone or in-person conversation to see if the connection feels like a good fit before making any commitment.

Please contact Bristol Osteopaths reception team who will put you in contact with me, so we can arrange to meet or chat.

May studied at Swansea University for 4 years, graduating with a 1st class Master’s degree in Osteopathy. She was inspired by her own positive experiences with osteopathy and was driven to pursue a career in Osteopathy to help others experience its benefits. May’s dissertation explored the use of pelvic floor muscle training as a complement to manual therapy for urinary incontinence. This highlighted the importance of empathetic, individualised care tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances. She is mindful of how health conditions can impact a patient’s overall quality of life. She finds osteopathy immensely rewarding, particularly because it allows her to build rapport with a diverse range of patients and observe the positive outcomes of osteopathic treatments. Outside of her professional life, May has recently returned from traveling South East Asia and Australia and hopes to continue exploring the world in the future. She enjoys creating art, practising Pilates, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
