Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that focuses primarily on diagnosing and treating problems with the musculoskeletal system.

Through massage, movement and manipulation, your osteopath will work to rebalance the structure and function of the body; not simply treating the presenting problem, but looking holistically at all the factors that have contributed towards your symptoms.

Treatment will aim to relieve pain, improve function and promote healing. It will also help to reduce the likelihood of the problem recurring. Your osteopath will explain their findings to you, so you can understand why your body has not been healing of its own accord.

It was through having a massage and experiencing how amazing, uplifted and free from tension it made her feel that led Piia to train as a massage therapist herself. She has been practising massage therapy since 1998, and trained through the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork (BCMB). Throughout the years Piia has returned to the College for advanced workshops and has recently finished a Diploma 5 Remedial & Sports Massage course.

Her focus is on dealing with the person’s body and mind, where it is at that moment, to provide a treatment that is in tune with their specific needs at that time.

Piia love’s her work and the instant positive response clients give, that deeper breath, or slight shift and change in the muscle tissue, and the smile on their relaxed faces when they leave the treatment room. That inspires Piia to promote healing and positive wellbeing through massage. She continues to discover new techniques and believes in ongoing training in order to deliver high standard, person focused treatments. Her long experience as a massage therapist, and treating common musculoskeletal complaints, enhances her ability to listen to your body and assist it to heal itself.
